Bobro Posted August 4, 2002 Posted August 4, 2002 After making inquiries, the Emagic legal team has now assured us that the contractual obligations covering the Sequoia and Samplitude products will be fully adhered to. http://www.samplitude.com And the Emagic.de site says that Samplitude 6.5 will be available in September. At this point it looks like things are working out well for all involved, except Logic PC users of course. A crossgrade from Logic PC to Samplitude (which is PC only, not counting the Samplitude Opus Amiga sideproject ) would be an interesting idea, don't you think? Probably won't ever happen and nobody's mentioned it, just seems like a better idea than losing tens of thousands of customers to Steinberg. Anyway I'm looking forward to 6.5 in the fall, and hopefully Emagic will continue to do the full-blown ads. In light of the absence (hm, there's an expression) of any competing Emagic PC products, can't see any legitimate reason for Emagic not to go whole hog in advertising Samplitude. Apple may take a different view. Don't know if anyone here gives a hoot about all this but there you go. -Bobro
