Groeg Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 Hi all, I posted this in the Digital Recording Forum but wanted to get some of your opinions too. Here is the post I recorded tracks in Sonar 2, Windows (all parts except vocals) and I'm having a guy out of state record the vocals in DP3, Mac. This is just the platform and software we use and I'm wondering what problems might come up if any. I'm going to give him a stereo WAV file of the music (temp track to sing to) and he'll send me a CD of his vocals as WAV files that I'll be able to import back into Sonar. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Has anyone done cross platform/software projects like this? Anyone see something that I'm missing? I'm going to put a 2 pop at the beginning of my music track and will ask him to do the same so I can allign the tracks when I get them from him. Even if the vocals don't line up exactly, I can move them around as there are no real long phrases where I think it'll be out of time and can't fix with some editing. Any suggestions/comments are welcome. Thanks, Groeg Sound Designer, Red Storm Entertainment
