nursers Posted November 16, 2002 Posted November 16, 2002 Could anyone please correct any mistakes below? My understanding is that: PT runs TDM, HTDM, RTAS and Audiosuite Logic runs HTDM, VST and its own plugins (do they have a name?) Cubase runs VST / VST 2 only? DP runs ???? Thanks heaps in advance for any info you can provide... Alndln Posted November 16, 2002 Posted November 16, 2002 Cubase on Pc is compatible DX and Vst,DP on Mac has MAS and is compatible with VST via an adapter and Logic Mac is working on Audio Units(I think).I'm sure I'm leaving a lot out concerning Mac apps so a Mac user will give you better details.PT LE by the way is only compatible with RTAS on the PC,possibly more(MAS?)on the Mac side but neither will support TDM on LE. thisDude Posted November 17, 2002 Posted November 17, 2002 An old post of mine regarding the sonic quality of different versions of the same plug-in fell on deaf eyes. Is there an audible difference between different versions of the same commercial plug-in? (VST vs. DX vs. RTAS)? I played with the Waves bundle on a PTMix system and it sounded great, specifically the RenCompressor. Would it sound equally as great as a VST plug?
