Cowfingers Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 hi, for my organ (OB3-2), i really need a volume pedal for swells. does anyone know if i have to use a dedicated volume pedal, or can i buy a plain foot pedal and connect that to the volume socket (ive tried a plain footswitch, but that just turns the volume on and off) thanks Visit my band : www.neonfleacircus.net or www.myspace.com/neonfleacircus

Another option is an in-line volume pedal. I have one made by DeArmond that works great. I believe it sells new for about USD100. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up. keyoctave Posted July 17, 2002 Posted July 17, 2002 I use a Roland EV-5 volume pedal with my OB-3/2 organ. It interfaces well with the keyboard. The pedal is built very sturdy and has a volume knob on the side so you can set a minimun level. Kurzweil PC3, Hammond SK-1 + Ventilator, Korg Triton. 2 JBL Eon 510's.
Slowly Posted July 17, 2002 Posted July 17, 2002 If you can get an "expression pedal". it would be much better than a volume pedal. The expression pedal of an Hammond actually changes the gain of an internal pre-amp. This gives a sound that can`t be duplicated with a volume pedal. Will cost lots more but worth it. keyoctave Posted July 17, 2002 Posted July 17, 2002 Kcbass is correct. Use an expression pedal. The Roland is one. Sorry for calling it the wrong thing . Kurzweil PC3, Hammond SK-1 + Ventilator, Korg Triton. 2 JBL Eon 510's.
