hangee_77 Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 The sound card I got, only has 1 stereo 1/4 analog in & 1 setero 1/4 analog out, so in order to do a stereo recording, I need the splitter jack. But I saw 2 types of splitter jack in radio shack, 2 L&R RCA jack to 1 1/4 analog stereo jack, and 2 L&R 1/4 analog mono jack to 1 1/4 analog stereo jack. Which one is better for recording the RCA or 1/4 analog cable? Hanjaya C.
Danny M Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 I'd say that you might want to get both kinds of cable, just in case you ever need to use a piece of gear with RCA outputs. You could also buy the RCA version, and get two RCA to 1/4" TS adapters, if you so desire. (All things being equal, 1/4" TS connectors are a bit more durable than RCA pin jacks.) -Danny Grace, Peace, V, and Hz, Danny
