Wewus432 Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 The city is filled with strange stories, here's one. Last night I was walking out of a restaurant and as I came to my car I had a vision, but that's sounds so stupid, so I'll call it a buzz. I had a buzz. I SAW blue lights, cop car lights, all around me. Just in my mind I saw this, just enough to make me pause in my stride towards the car, and think, BUMMER! I hope that doesn't happen. So I'm driving home and ten minutes later I come upon this scene, which is a bad wreck, a very bad wreck that JUST happened, and all of a sudden I see exactly what I saw in the parking lot of the restaurant. I've never seen this many responders to an accident. 8 to 10 Police cars with their blue lights on coming from 3 different directions, which is exactly what I saw, and 3 fire engines AND five other unmarked cars with blue and/or yellow lights flashing. I've never seen anything like it. Finally had to turn around and as I turned I talked to the officer near the scene and I said "Is this just for an accident" and he gave me a hard look and said " An accident?, there's dead people up there." True story.
Anderton Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 I've had a few precognitive experiences. It's both fascinating and kind of creepy at the same time. Mostly they're in dreams -- I dream about something, then the event occurs, usually within 24-48 hours. I keep trying to come up with a rational explanation...no luck so far. jpmiii Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 Of course you realize to be able to see the future means it already happened. Which implies that time itself is not linear we just experience it that way. Sorry I'm an old philosophy geek. Kinda crushes the whole freewill thing huh? I wonder what Niel Peart thinks ... I really don't know what to put here.
polyt Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 The same thing happens to me to Craig, only YEARS later. Maybe I'm just running really late.
Steve Presley Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Wewus, I told you to stay away from those shrooms. Out of the pan and into the fire!
Jotown Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 This is so strange!. I had a premonition the other day that there was going to be a thread started about premonition's! Does this mean that I am psychic? Or that I can now read the Wewus's mind? OOOOoooo00000ooooooo............ Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
Tedster Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Weird. I've had thoughts about whether that could be true. In some cases...I think it could be a warning, y'know...if you have a bad feeling, be extra careful driving and such. We never know. Sort of a deja vu type thing. The deja vu experience freaks me out...I've had that many times. Some of these could be coincidental. I would say one instance is not enough to establish it as a legitimate phenomenon, but if it occurs with regularity then you've got something. Remember Jean Dixon? The "psychic" who supposedly predicted Kennedy's assassination? Well, she went on to become famous, and made all sorts of predictions, became a "National Enquirer" columnist and all...but, to my knowledge, I don't believe any of her other predictions came true, except for gross generalizations: "The economy will take a downturn and there will be a war somewhere". "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
jpmiii Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Over the years I have experienced this many times but only in the form of, for lack of a better description, fragmentary little snapshots. It never has been of any real value in respect of me making a decision or choice about anything. "I never would have seen it, if I didn't already believe it" Unknown http://www.SongCritic.com
