Cowfingers Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 if i have two keyboards and one wah pedal, and i want them both to go into the pedal, but not always both at the same time, does anyone know of the existance of a switching device where i put either one or the other of the keyboards through the pedal while keeping the other clean, or on occasion send both in at the same time. - its for live where switching cables isnt really an option and i'm damned if im going to waste 100+ quid on a second wah pedal! thanks Visit my band : www.neonfleacircus.net or www.myspace.com/neonfleacircus
Anderton Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 This is the sort of thing that is astonishly simple to design and build if you're handy with electronics. I bet even the local guitar wiring repair dude could come up with a box for you that would take about an hour or two of construction time, max. jeffbayson Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 It had been in the back of my mind to find something like this, too, so I just did some research. This A/B selector would appear to do the trick: http://www.whirlwindusa.com/selec.html It goes for $109 (I only checked Sam Ash's website). Let me know if you find it cheaper elsewhere, as I might be in the market, too.
jeffbayson Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Actually, now that I think about it... What I posted would not work for sending one "clean" signal and one processed signal simultaneously. It would allow you to choose which signal went into your pedals, or to put both signals into your pedals simultaneously, but it wouldn't allow you to route one signal into the pedals and route the other signal somewhere else. Sorry! Sounds like you need a router with 2 inputs and 2 outputs. I'll see if I can spot one...
