bearded yeti
I love the cs6x, but I hate the action. I wish it had the nice yamaha FS action that is used on the motif and korg workstations, but alas it does not. A friend of mine (non-musician) suggested that I just transplant the keybed out of my old M1 into the cs6x. Is this actually possible? If it is, I have no problems using the M1 as an organ donor, but I'm curious as to what's involved, and if anyone has actually done this before. thanks DM
RABid
Or....find a controller you like and use it to play your CSX6 through MIDI. Robert This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page
bearded yeti
I know that's an option, but the cs6x IS the controller I like! minus the action of course.. No one has experience with this?
Rod S
I think that's nuts. You don't know how the contacts are mounted, if you use the same contacts you'll have to adapt it to the keybed, if you use the contacts from the M-1, you have to make sure it interfaces to the motherboard (or whatever) in the cs. Buy a cs6r, a nice controller, and a midi knob controller.
