chris c Posted January 28, 2002 Share Posted January 28, 2002 Hi all, Saw Phillip Glass in the ATL this past weekend. He's doing a series called Phillip on Film where an ensemble performs his music to various films he's composed for while the movie is projected in the background. We saw Koyanisquatsi (very cool movie, b/t/w). Anyway, his ensemble performing the music live included no less than 5 keyboardists (!!) including Glass himself and his musical director. Mr. Glass is certainly doing his part to fight keyboardist unemployment! Interestingly, they all played Peavey keyboards, which I'd never seen before. They looked (and sounded) pretty cool. Just out of curiosity, are these keyboards that are consumer marketed? Widely available? I think I can safely say I've never seen one before Saturday night.
