tenthplanet
Triton and motif owners tell us what you've found out about the sampler sections of your instruments. What do you like and don't like about them. If you had your choice should the sampler be an option or an outboard unit? Michael Q:What do you call a truck with nothing in the bed, nothing on the hitch, and room for more than three people in the cab? A:"A car".... Blue
I have a Triton-61 keys and I love it, but if there is something about it that I could live without, it's the sampler (I bought it because of all the other features). So, I would have liked it to be an option and pay less (or buy the 76 key version) - but I guess most of the Triton owners don't think so. I think that the sampler is part of the "triton-workstation" concept, even if I don't like the concept, hehe. There're 2 things I don't like about the Triton sampler: - you can't do internal resampling - you can't sample external vocals via a mic while having the triton play your sequenced music For everything else, I think it's great, specially since the OS update that added some features to the sampler (time stretching). Anyway I've read that if you want to expand the memory, you have to be very cautious about the kind of RAM you buy, not all of them will work. It has some detailed specifications that are only found in some brands. Should you be interested in those specifications, refer to Triton central for further details. Anyway I'm not the most qualified opinion for this (I rarely use the Triton sampler), but... well I've already written this, so I have to click the "add reply" button Regards, = blue =
