steadyb
Happy and healthy holidays to all of the gang at the Keyboard Corner. You're even more fun than a good porn site (well, almost) Dave, this is a great forum, nice job. Jeff, how about those results buddy, maybe as a Christmas present to all of us. Dan, Mecca, Magpel, Soapbox, Fletch, and the rest of the Laker haters...keep 'em coming, I love you guys. Val, Laurie Z, thanks for keeping it from being a "boys only" club. Doctor Frankensteinway - Thanks for adding another twisted and entertaining voice to the forum. Marino, nursers, Rod CA, Pim, surfjazz, kcbass - more regulars that keep this forum going. Midispaceho - thyme flies when you're having fun... Gus - wow, started your own forum, cool! felix, b3fiend, SWBuck, Llarion, Bobro, Mike Martin, mzeger, joegerardi, Tusker, B_3guy Tedster, smedis, midirat...more inmates running the asylum. Steve LeBlanc - probably the one wise and knowledgeable basketball fan here (along with procontrolmama, of course) ...if I didn't mention you, no offense, these are the cats I spar, argue, and joke with on a daily basis. Merry Christmas to ALL and to all a good night. steadyb p.s. The Pond Scum Who Stole Christmas The folks who hang at the Keyboard Corner, liked the football pool a lot... But Jeff, TASCAM Guy... who lived just north of Dave Bryce...did not. Now, it could be that he needed his computer more near... ...it could be that his cat threw up on his gear but whatever the reason, his cat or his mouse, he continued to ignore the Key Corner, the louse... and with Christmas approaching, another week coming... He just sat and stared at his monitor, probably humming "I'll show those guys" he thought, as he ate up his dinner... "I won't say a word, then there'll be no new winner," "They can't do it with out me, the chances are slim..." "Who could they possibly get???...a foreigner???...Pim??? "This weekend will come, the games all played too," "And when it's time for a winner, they'll all cry 'boo-hoo'..." That is a sound that I simply must hear..." And the guy known as "pond scum" put a hand to his ear... But the sound from the Corner came through loud and clear... "We can cut and paste scores just as good as that queer" "We can talk about music, and all of our gear..." "What we love best of all, is that there's no Disco here" Now it's said that the TASCAM guy's not really gay, and if you need some disco, he's ready to play... but if he ever makes it over back by the pool I hope he'll bring some results along with his Yule. Gus Lozada
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen ! This is my first Xmas ever in the MusicPlayer forums. I guess you just could not imagine how has my life changed since I met this lovable place for the first time. It became a hobby, then a religion... I owe a lot of things to Dave Bryce, Craig Anderton, Chris Adams and to all the nice persons I met here and keep meeting continuously. I want to thank you all. Simply put, this has changed my life and opened my eyes to new horizons. Being a freelance contributor to "Keyboard" and a part of the team of Editors of "EQ en Español" are just samples of what I have got by attending these Forums. So, being that thankful, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and the best Hollidays ever. Of course, I'll love to keep in contact with you all. This group of people rules !! Jeff Klopmeyer
Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all through the 'net, the fans watched their football and some placed their bets. Now most betters were winners but at least one guy was tragic. This dude tried to play keyboards while he worked for eMagic. His team, from Seattle, was rife with derision since the incredible Raiders would win their division. He hung on the hopes that the playoffs they'd make. But poor steadyb was doomed for heartache. They lost to Miami! They lost to KC! They lost to the Broncos! Oh, poor steadyb! They lost to those teams whose performance was crapolis. Even the Redskins and yes, Indianapolis. So while the world celebrates while dressed green and red, steadyb paints an "L" on his largish forehead. And while his basketball team will continue to rock, steadyb's doomed to failure with his lowly Seahawks. Rod S
Feliz Natal to everyone! (happy xmas in portuguese ) I can't believe it's been a little over one year that I registered and started hanging around here. Much has changed, but I think one of the highlights of my year was participating in the keyboard corner CD (damn, boring life I lead huh? ). I feel like an alien around my friends since most couldn't give a damn what the difference is between an analog and a digital filter No snow here in Rio. It's been hot as hell. After spending about 5 hours at the port, I managed to retrieve my belongings and my gear is safely at home. Goldberg
I'm dreaming of a whi----te Christmas! Bloody hell, who am I kidding? Last it snowed in Houston I'm told was several years ago, and it was just a few measly flakes. Other than that, we're lucky to get weather down in the 50's. Oh well, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! Despite frequent, and often heated arguments about football and my poor knowledge of synthesisers, you guys have been real helpful. Have a great time on the holdays, and a good New Year as well. jlsy
Though from an American's point of view, still inspirationally beautiful: -------------------------------------------------------- In many ways we're Different this Christmas: Last Christmas we were thinking about all the things we didn't have; this Christmas we're thinking about all the things we do have. Last Christmas we were placing wreaths on the doors of our homes; this Christmas, we're placing wreaths on the graves of our heroes. Last Christmas we were counting our money; this Christmas we're counting our blessings. Last Christmas we were getting on each other's nerves; this Christmas we are getting on our knees. Last Christmas we were giving thanks for gifts from stores; this Christmas we are giving thanks for gifts from God. Last Christmas we were thinking how good it would feel to be affluent; this Christmas we are thinking how good it is to be alive."
