Another pagan converted to armature musician status.

Last week I was really in the Christmas spirit. This week I have been in a particularly mischievous mood. The two have combined to bring a wayward pagan into the realm of musicianship.

Last week I was offering people in the office the loan of my Christmas CDs so they could enjoy the music while they work by playing the CDs in their computers. After dropping off a couple of CDs with the CFO she soon made her way to my office and accused me of being cruel. Seems the computer I for her last year does not have speakers, or even a sound card. Not sure how that happened, my two computers are blessed with Cambridge Soundworks surround sound speakers on one and JBL Media 4s on the other. Necessary equipment for crunching database information into something readable to the rest of the management staff. Anyway, it was funny at the time but later I started feeling bad that she did not have speakers. This morning I went into her office and apologized, telling her that I brought something that would allow her to play Christmas music in her office. Then I handed her a brand new kazoo.

She took it quite well and tried to play it. I was shocked to find someone that had never hummed a song before. After a few minutes of teaching her how to hum a song, then how to hum into the kazoo she became a budding amateur musician. She is so thrilled that she is considering playing at the upcoming Christmas. Jeff may have a band that can nail The Hustle but does he have a kazooist that can smoke on Rudolph, The Red-Nose Reindeer? I think not. Now the question is, do I teach her desk drumming, or should we jump to Chopsticks on the piano?

This post edited for speling.
