Help configuring midi units and OMS

I'm really confused how to set up my Kurzweil to work with my Korg Triton-Rack. I'm hoping someone here will be able to explain the connections and how to configure these two devices in the OMS.

 

These are the units I have:

-Kurzweil 2500X

-Korg Triton-Rack

-Dig001 Sound card

 

As far as connections go I think this is correct but I'm not sure. The midi out from the Kurzweil to the midi in of the Digi001. The midi out of the Digi001 to to the midi in of the Triton-rack. The midi thru of the Triton-Rack to the midi in the the Kurzweil.

 

*Both the kurzweil and triton-rack have audio RCA connections going into the digi001 so I can here the sounds soming out through my speakers.

 

Once I have my connections taken care of I'm not sure how to configure them properly in the OMS. I've added both the devices and named them but I'm confused whether or not to check the "is controller" box and "is multimbral" box. I really don't understand what those terms mean. How many channels should I select for each one. On my Kurzweil unit do I have to press the midi button and configure what channels it xmits and recieves on?

 

In conclusion this is what I want to be able to do with both of these units: I want to be able to select from the kurzweil sounds when recording and also being able to select from the Triton-rack sounds when recording. For instance, maybe channels 1-8 will be my kurzweil sounds while 8-16 will be my triton-rack sounds. I hope someone can help me out...it would really help me solve this problem once and for all.
