billyb
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the Par Lind project. I have read much about his abilities and wanted to check the band out. What would be a good CD to start with? There are no stupid questions but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots! As far as I know he's a keyboard player living in Sweden, Par Lindh Project (PLP) is the name of his band. Well, I've listened to several of PLP albums and must say that I... didn't like them. They all sound TOO MUCH like ELP (hey, compare the bands abbreviations!). All the musicians (including Mr. Par Lindh) are very good and certainly can play, but such music is just uninspiring anymore... at least for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of progressive rock but I like new prog bands only when they sound fresh and contemporary. We already have all the good-old prog, haven't we?
