Felix_dup1
Ok, I know this is a day early and a bit of a long shot (because of the nature of the AES show's rescheduling), but I'm sure everyone here would be interested in hearing any new product announcements from AES... RABid
I want to hear about that new software synth with zero latency, full analog sound, sample playback, 32 channel 256 notes, and can be run on stage from your Palm Pilot. dansouth
If you go to Mackie\'s web site , you can visit their "virtual AES show," since they decided not to participate in person. They have some nice looking new monitors and a subwoofer, new d8b plugins (a real-time analyzer/EQ and a tube/cabinet emulator), plus they talk about the MDR2496 and the 48 channel remote. BP3
Not anything in the way of keys at AES, but the ADAM monitors, SonySACD, Soundfield mic, and Soundelux E47 were all quite impressive.

It can accept up to a five volts RMS at the input and can output up to +27dBu before clipping. ------------------------------------------------- nice christmas present thanks to soapbox for the link [ 12-03-2001: Message edited by: coren5555 ]
dansouth
The thing that gave me the most "gear lust" was the Eventide Eclipse processor. That and the Massenburg 2020 channel. I saw the Fairlight Dream Station, but they didn't bring the big Dream Console. Found out that Fairlight's URL is www.fairlight.net - may be useful to those of you who have a couple hundred grand to drop. My biggest thrill was seeing a Sony Oxford console up close - I'd never seen one before, and it's PRETTY DARNED impressive, let me tell you! Favorite audio celebrity sighting: EveAnna Manley. Lots of monitor companies, but no A.D.A.M. Did you have a room off to the side or something? I was there from 1:30 to 3:30 on Monday. Unfortunately, that was the only time I had available. Did you have a room off to the side or something? We had a booth on the first row on the main floor (#162) directly opposite Genelec. We also had a listening suite on the second level. The AES Exhibitors's guide would have led you right to us. Oh well - maybe next time... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
