no i don't sorry. it does have quite a cheesy sound. i once played a portable yamaha organ that had the same sort of cheesy sound. what drawbar instrument do you use? and btw, how did you get your user name?! (i don't take offence at it)

thanks.i'm using and OB3squared organ. 88800880 (no c, v or percussion) is what i use to emulate the vox continantal sound when playing The Doors, but that sounds wrong when trying to play the monkees.

as for the name starfucker-its a Nine Inch Nails song from 'The Fragile' album

thanks

There's a group in Italy called Starfuckers. They play the most edgy, oblique, improvised, experimental kind of "rock" you can imagine.

whoops, just seen the drawbar settings i wrote up above. i really should know how many bars are on the organ! anyway the setting i use to get a Manzarek sound is 888080880 with no vib/chorus or perc.

anyone else have similar settings to get different organ type sounds?

Yeah! The Starfuckers from Italy are fantastic! Their first album or two were sort of heavy rock, but I'd have a tough time using the word "rock" to describe their later stuff (more like dark experimental electronics). Fortunately, one of their albums came out in the USA on the Drunken Fish label.

Starfucker is actually an old Stones tune off of Goat's Head Soup. It goes like this (everyone sing along):

STARFUCKER

(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

Baby, baby, I've been so sad since you've been gone

Way back to New York City

Where you do belong

Honey, I missed your two-tone kisses

Legs wrapped around me tight

If I ever get back to Fun City, girl

I'm gonna make you scream all night

Honey, honey, call me on the telephone

I know you're movin' out to Hollywood

With your can of tasty foam

All those beat up friends of mine

Got to get you in their books

And lead guitars and movie stars

Get their tongues beneath your hood

Yeah! You're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker star

Yeah, I heard about you Polaroid's

Now that's what I call obscene

Your tricks with fruit was kind a cute

I bet you keep your pussy clean

Honey, I miss your two tone kisses

Legs wrapped around me tight

If I ever get back to New York, girl

Gonna make you scream all night

Yeah! You're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker star

Yeah, Ali McGraw got mad with you

For givin' head to Steve McQueen

Yeah, and me we made a pretty pair

Fallin' through the Silver Screen

Honey, I'm open to anything

I don't know where to draw the line

Yeah, I'll make bets that you're gonna get

John Wayne before he dies

Yeah! You're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star

A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker star

Yes you are

A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker star
