What's "politics of fear" got to do with getting vaccinated against a potential disease??? Every year millions get vaccinated against the flu...and no one claims "politics of fear"... You put on a condom when you have sex so you don't get AIDS...and no one claims "politics of fear"... They still vaccinate babies against numerous diseases...and no one claims "politics of fear"... So...what's the problem with getting vaccinated against Small Pox if there is a possibility that some madman might try and attack us with it??? Boy...talk about convoluted logic!!! OK...so when the vaccinations start...you can demonstrate your refusal to buy into this “politics of fear"...and just don' get your shot! Please understand...if we all started gettting vaccinated against Small Pox today...that would potentially REMOVE that terrorist threat...for good... …DUH!!!

Well...those same risks existed 20-30 years ago when Small Pox vaccination was still being done. The flip side is...thousands...maybe millions would die, and many more seriously disfigured without any vaccinations...if there was a mass outbreak caused by terrorism. Hey...the vaccinations will be voluntary...you decide if you want one or not. Of course...the best thing would be if Saddam and the terrorist couldn't attack us with the Small Pox...or anything else for that matter. But...that means that we have to go and GET RID OF THE TERRORISTS...HARD... ...the won't just go away on their own...

They sure want to kill all of us...and will stop at nothing to do it...there's no doubt about that!!!

You don't trash all the cars just because thousands of people die every year from accidents. Every vaccine has side effects and people will die from complications from it when given blanketly to the entire population to counter a suppossed threat from a foreign source. If and when there is a true bioterror event then the people in the surrounding area can be vaccinated. Only a fool dies from panic.

It's kind of interesting that, just a few years ago, there was supposed to be just two remaining samples of smallpox, and the big debate was whether to keep them, or commit a "crime against science" and destroy them. Now its becoming apparent Russia, France, and possibly North Korea have had samples all along, so much for Intel

I believe the small pox vaccine was mandatory if you were born before 1970. So some of you out there may still have some in your systems. I feel somewhat relieved knowing this vaccine was used for so many years and klnowing theres a chance we may have to get injected once again. Where do we draw the line with this now as far as who should have these Weapons of Mass Destruction? I feel better knowing the US has it than say Iraq but we used it when we wanted the American Indains out. Ernest
