Gulliver
Hey Benoit, I see the word "calculate" in your post... Well, I think the majority of people from this forum do not use mathematics (and physics) during compositional process. They just... compose music! As for programming synthesizers - I believe there are many places on the Net where you can learn a lot regarding this subject. Try these two links, for instance: http://www.synthzone.com/ http://www.synthfool.com/ Vladislav I am back.
Gus Lozada
Salut cyberbeb!
Beeing an M.sc. in electrical engineering (as I am) doesn't really matter when making sounds. Sure, I understand exactly everything when it comes to sampling-rates, filters, & stuff... but what you really need to have when creating the perfect sound is... experience. It's not a big advantage to know exactly how a filter works, it's much better to know them in a practical musical sense. Calculating sounds?, I guess you mean rendering a sound and after that put it in a sampler/computer and render a whole song with it. Nothing to to with keyboards, I guess. so it's kind of the wrong forum to bring it up in, I'd try a search on www.google.com "render".

Here I go... : - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi Cyberbeb: If you require to read some excellent articles about synth programming, you should visit the folling link: http://www.keyboardonline.com/features/soundforum/index.shtml You will find a free "soft synth" and some classes about how to design sounds. It is in English. Have a great day ! (Sorry for my bad English) ------ Done ! dansouth
Bonjour, Benoit! Bienvenue!
