djxclusive Posted April 20, 2001 Posted April 20, 2001 When you sequence ur drums do you put your snare and bass drum on the same sequencer track. If you do this how do you send the kick and snare out to the indvidual outputs for mixing. When you do your drums on a drum machine are you suppose to lay down the bass drum, record that on one sequencer track, then fill in the snare and record that to a sequencer track. just a little confused Peace "keep the creativity flowin"
Guest Posted April 20, 2001 Posted April 20, 2001 My drum module have 2 stereo outputs that sounds can be assigned to. I usually put the kik assigned to "main out" panned hard left, the snare assigned to "main out" panned hard right. The hihats, toms and cymbals are assigned to "aux out" and panned in the stereo field where I want them. So, main out plug left will be kik. main out right will be snare. Aux out will be stereo of the rest. And everything is on the same seq. track. If you have a drum module with only one output you can have different seq. tracks for every drum sound and mute all tracks except the one you want, and then record it to an audio track. Then mute the previous recorded sound and unmute the next and record that one to another audio track. In that way you can have as many tracks as you want with different sounds and mix them individually. Hope this helps, I'm not sure I understand your question exactly. ------------------ --Smedis,--
