annoying click in XP-30

When my XP-30 is midi connected to my computer, the little "midi in" light is always blinking, and together with the blink comes this sound:

it's very quiet, and easy to get rid off with the noise reduction in Cool Edit, but very annoying when I sit with a headset and hear "click click click click" in my ears.

 

Does anyone know what is going on?

Hello,

(1) Have you checked the "ground" of all pieces connected to your system (computer, monitor, etc.)

(2) Is your MIDI cable OK??
