Studio Electronics SE1 vs MiniMoog?

I haven't personally used them side by side, but I have heard it done.

 

Erik Norlander, who posts on this forum occasionally, swears by his SE-1. I've heard it - it sounds totally great. The last time that I went to see him play, he used both the Mini and the SE-1 - it was a bit odd to see, because he MIDI'd it to an Alesis QS6, which definitely made me do a double-take. However, it was pretty hard to tell them apart sonically in a live setting.

 

Are you debating buying one or the other? If so, another option to consider might be to wait for the Moog Performance Synth.
