have a question about the STrigger on a MicroMoog. It's a 2 prng male plug that i'd like to convert to 1/4". How do I do this and what side is hot? Pro/Cons to this mod?

Anyone?

A S-trig is a "S"witch trigger.

Basically, the closure of two S trig input pins will initiate a trigger signal to the Moog's envelope generators.

Converting S triggers to the more common V (voltage) triggers (or vice versa) isn't terribly hard for a tech to do, but it could prove difficult or impossible for a novice.

If you're a techy type, you basically need to build an inverter circuit.

If you're not, I'd recommend hiring someone experienced to either mod the synth or build a converter cable.

Some MIDI to CV converters will also produce an S trig signal(s).

Hope this helps,

Kevin

Well that looks like crap but hopefully the meaning is clear.

Sorry, no.

That's an inverter all right, but it's the not the correct type at all.

There are many inverter circuits and they have different meanings depending on the application.

You'll need to consult a real tech to get what you want here, I suspect. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/frown.gif

Good luck,

Main reason for the mod is to connect to a drum triiger so the switch will be fine. My main question is there an adapter to take this to 1/4" for the pad to plug into?

Anyone know of the adapter I am looking for (S-trigger to 1/4")?
