ovnis7yahoo.com
I'm still looking for the best FX-plug-in bundle, and i've come a cross 'Waves Pro FX Native for mac/pc'(metaflanger,mondo,doppler,etc.), i'll be working mainly w/ acid 3 so i guess i need a direct-x plug-in, anyway, i've read a few reviews and i really think this FX bundle is exactly what i want/need; but i can't find out if this bundle is a direct-x plug-in, or what format it supports period. So if anyone outthere can give me some info i'll appreciated, and by the way, what's TDM. there's some other versions and plug-in on 'Waves' bundles that seem quite more expensive than the ones that are not TDM, what's it mean/stand for? and why the price? ian_dup1
The Waves plug ins will work as Direct-X plug ins. TDM is Pro Tools format. Waves has a free demo cd available of pretty much all of their plug ins...it's nice, it allows you to have full use of the whole slew of them for 14 days. If you're interested in buying one of the bundles, you should definitely swing by their website and see if you can get them to send you one of the demo cds. I just got the Waves native power pack bundle 3 weeks ago. Heres what I found. Most of the plugins sound excellent for plugins, some require a small learning curve, the Trueverb is a CPU hog; I must run it offline for more than 2 tracks. The L1-Ultramaximizer is good for that "make it loud as possible" sound & the manual has more than its fair share of typos. Overall, it has allowed me to like plug-ins a little more. I have no regrets. -Hippie In two days, it won't matter.

This is in addition to usually around two to three Ren. Compressors as inserts, ten to twelve various Cubase EQs, and PSP Mixsatuator and Ren. EQ in the master effects section. I save L1 for mastering. Ren. Reverb is a different story, however. You might be able to use one or two of those in realtime if you've got a top o' the line PC. Sure sounds purty, though. I've never heard anyone really slag the Waves stuff. It's good stuff.
