dsmusic
I own an Opcode Studio 5 LX Midi Interface which was recently diagnosed with a bad power supply (maybe that's why the fuse keeps blowing when I power up...) Any advise as to how expensive this part is and where I can get it? Given the out-of-business status of Opcode, it doesn't seem prudent to put more money into an unsupported piece of equipment. If Id switch to something like MOTU midi interface, how will that impact upon my ProTools 24 setup? Thanks.
Anderton
Look on the power supply itself for a voltage and current rating (the latter will be something like 600 mA, 900 mA,1.2A, etc.). That can provide much help in terms of finding a replacement. dansouth
I wish that I would have kept mine. I would have shipped it to you free of charge just to get rid of the piece of crap. - I threw it into a dumpster. - Do yourself a favor and upgrade to something new. MOTU, Emagic, and Steinberg all make good MIDI interfaces. Buy one that matches your software if you can. The Studio 5 doesn't run well with anything except Opcode software. Don't see this as a step backward, but a minor inconvenience on the way to a much brighter future.
