Anderton Posted July 2, 2001 Share Posted July 2, 2001 Unlike MusicPlayer.com, where you have to "opt in" when you register to get the newsletter and such, companies have the automatic right to use your personal data in any way they see fit, or exchange that information with others, unless you specifically ask to "opt out" of them doing this. All the notices had to be sent out by some particular date, which is why they're showing up now. I strongly advise calling the number and/or writing to the address mentioned in the flyer and saying you do not want your information shared with third parties.
