ha ha faa_Q
Hello everyone, I was wondering what your stance was on the American Federation of Musicians. I've heard many mixed feelings about the organization, and I'd like to get some more opinions about it before I consider joining. I'd like to find out whether or not the work they have available is abundant, lucrative, and/or worthwhile, as well as whether or not the benefits package alone makes it worth joining. Thanks, Jimmy
Tedster
Some areas and some places it's mandatory. I used to be a member...but...I found that I didn't think it was worth it for the piddly gigs I was doing. Then, there was one time we got scammed by a club owner, and the Union (our local, anyway) didn't really do jack squat. But others may have had different experiences. I've heard of this... seems like a foreign concept... how does it work and where? ------------------ New and Improved Music Soon: http://www.mp3.com/chipmcdonald Guitar Lessons in Augusta Georgia: www.chipmcdonald.com Eccentric blog: https://chipmcdonaldblog.blogspot.com/ / "big ass windbag" - Bruce Swedien
