Special_K
I have used an auxiliary output for this. The good news is that you can create one or more separate mix(es) this way depending on how many Aux outs your board has. The bad news is that the 1/4" jacks are mono as opposed to the stereo that most headphones rely on. I happen to have a 16+ year old "Pickering 3+3" headphone set that has a mono-stereo switch and separate volume control for left and right on the cord to the headset. This way I can set the gain near max for the Aux out and the drummer (for example) can control the volume himself. I have not seen any headphones recently that have volume control built in but have seen at least one with a mono switch. Unfortunately, I cannot remember where I saw it. I have asked at a local music shop (Mars) about headphones with controls built in but no one there had advice for me. You could wire your own controls but it would be nice if some headphones had such controls built in like my old Pickerings. Hopefully, someone here can push you (and me) in the right direction. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif Dave This message has been edited by Special_K on 06-20-2001 at 10:13 AM Dave Knepper http://members.cox.net/dknepper/
