emeria
Pardon any ignorance on my part, but what does EP stand for? I'm guessing it's a holdover term from the vinyl days, but i don't know. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks!
Curve Dominant
Extended Play. Yes, it is a holdover from vinyl days, but still in use. It's a cross between a single and a LP, usually about 4 songs. I'm putting one together as a pre-cursor to my next CD, the first 4 tunes I've got mix-ready, just for friends and industry contacts. It whets the appetites for the big she-bang. curvedominant Eric Vincent (ASCAP) www.curvedominant.com
fantasticsound
Back in the early 1960's, it was commonplace to release several EP's each year, along with an LP and several singles sometimes unavailable in any other form. They liked to string listeners along, always waiting for the next installment from their favorite band. The Beatles worked this way early in their career. You didn't find many artists waiting a year or more between releases. Now we're lucky to get an album every two years from most artists. ------------------ Neil Reality: A few moments of lucidity surrounded by insanity. It's easiest to find me on Facebook.
