rumpelstiltskin.
i have acquired an old revox A77 reel to reel tape machine that has some mechanical problems. fortunately, it has no electrical problems. i'm interested in using it in my mastering, and maybe when i record stereo drums or acoustic guitar + vocals tracks. does anyone know anything about revox or this particular model. i'm especially looking for a user's manual or a service manual, but general comments and input would be great, too. [thanks.] because i like people.
Tedster
A Revox is a great machine...made by Studer, who made some of the (always arguably) best pro-level multitrack machines, as far as I know... "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
Anderton
I suggest contacting Studer to find out who does servicing in the US. They had an office in Nashville, as I recall but I'm not sure if it still exists, or whether they use a network of authorized service centers.
