Anderton
Actually, I think software came in at #2... But what really interested me was the percentages of sales of illegal copies. I assume this means percentage of a particular product type, e.g., if 50% is sales of illegal copies, then 50% represents sales of legal copies. If so, the idea of places like Greece, where illegal sales of CDs and tapes represent 87%, is pretty scary. I wonder how healthy the music industry would be if there wasn't piracy? The record companies would be better off since they'd make more or the benjamins. The successful artists would be better off since they'd get big checks. The rest would be about the same since it seems like most people don't rip off the unsuccessful releases. jw Affiliations: Jambé
