analogman1
Hello, I have a 450mhz PII, 256 meg of ram...please can you reccomend a decent sound card that won't have high latency...with an ASIO driver. So far I'm just running Reason, but that will be changing soon...this card would be for a desktop computer. Maybe eventually I'll get a laptop, but for now it's just my old 450... Dylan
The MIDIMan Audiophile and Hoontech DSP24 Value both have great low latency ASIO drivers and can be found for well under $200. -Dylan
Anderton
I'll second the thumbs up on MIDIMan. Also, Frontier design makes some great sound cards that are expandable to multi-port MIDI operation if that interests you. Dylan
Yes, the Frontier cards like the WaveCenter PCI are a great value, but you'll need external converters since the card doesn't have any onboard analog I/O (only digital). -Dylan
