Max Ventura
Elektron SA is a swedish company who brought us the SidStation a couple years ago and is now about to release the SPS-1 MachineDrum. I am their importer/distributor for Italy. The SidStation is a desktop synth module with realtime controls, based on the chip of the orginal Commodore 64, with full MIDI implementation and a powerful OS. The MachineDrum is a dru machine (well, that was obvious!) that use FOUR different synth engines, spanning on 16 sequencer tracks, plus effects and motion sequencer. The four synth engines are: simil-FM, physical modeling, real analog (TR-style), and 12 bit PCM (EMU SP-1200 style). For more informations, email Daniel at Elektron, mentioning my name, at info@elektron.se. Max Ventura, Italy.
F7sound -
I heard that there were no more SidStations left... I missed out. Well, I may get a MachineDrum instead. It seems like a hellof a "throwback" device! Max Ventura
The Sid is currently being produced, as ever. There were no more Ninja Limited version, but that was only a Sid with a black case and new soundsets. The SPS1 is not a throwback, in terms it operates quite in new directions for a drum module... Argomax, I meant "throwback" in a good way. I'm making some killer music using a TR-606, which was made back when I was in junior high. It's a great machine (and it's fun too). I took a look at the MachineDrum on the web. It looks very interesting. I may have to splurge!!! :-) Michael Oster F7 Sound and Vision http://www.f7sound.com Michael Oster F7 Sound and Vision http://www.F7sound.com http://www.regurgitron.com http://www.LaptopNoise.com
