strings_bologne
I would like to know if there is a schematic (with parts list) for a MIDI controllable stereo preamp, with no effects other than volume, eq and maybe some saturation. I have an effects unit that seems to be pretty good (Peavey Profex II), other than the fact that the volume drops when using effects like the chorus, reverb, delay (and I think the pitch shifter... which is weak in quality anyway). I would like to compensate this by having a programmable volume control on the output of the device, instead of having to go in and lower the volumes of the rest of the programs. I have looked everywhere (short of everyones closets, etc...) to locate a simple MIDI Stereo Preamp without the effects. I know that I could just use another Multieffect as the final stage for the volume control, but it seems to me that this may be unreasonably expensive, and that there is more of a use for this simple device than just what I am seeking to use it for. Please let me know if there is a kit, or if there is a simple device that already exists (in at stereo format). I appreciate your time.
