Anderton
It's an older unit. With everyone touting 24 tracks, it probably feels lonely out there on the showroom floor. As far as I know, the thing works just fine, but it's 12 tracks and...well, an older unit. WFTurner
That Akai unit and the Korg 16 track both look like great boxes at a great price but there doesn't seem to be much discussion about them anywhere. ------------------ William F. But yes, Akai and Korg make some fine gear...just got the Korg D1600 in for review, it's quite impressive. The TouchView screen is a gas - took me a while to stop reaching for the cursor controls and just touch the display. Also, the hard drive bay is removable, so you can swap out hard drives easily, and there's a CD-R bay so you can cut directly to CD with the unit. There are no motorized faders or luxuries like that, but a big selection of effects, including some designed for mastering. Pretty impressive at their current price point.
