rich
Any thoughts on the best way to do this? I have tracks in Digital Performer that I want to upload to a friend in MP3 format. What's the best (and preferably free) MP3 encoder for this?
Anderton
Peak will do it just fine, but it's not free. Jonathan Hughes
If you're running OS 9, you can download iTunes from apple for free. It'll do the mp3 conversion. I don't think any standalone mp3 converters will handle SDII files -- especially the split stereo files that DP exports. Use either soundapp (also free), or bring the SDII files back into DP and then export them as AIFFs. Jonathan
Guest Room Warrior
Rich - You can also use the "Export Sound Sbite..." command in the Soundbites window pulldown to export the file as either a .wav or an AIFF, and convert from there in any MP3 conversion program (I use SoundJam). - Jim Bordner Jim Bordner Gravity Music "Tunes so heavy, there oughta be a law."
