David R.
I am amazed by the RNC. I got two and just put them through the paces on a mix. Wow. Talk about bang for buck. Mercenary sells them. Support the crumudgeon. Meek - love the color, have not yet used/abused one. They shall inherit the earth. -David R. -David R.
KenElevenShadows
I have not used the Meek stuff. I have two RNCs that I purchased directly from FMR, and could not be happier with them. They are really amazing, transparent units that work surprisingly well, considering the US$200 price tag. ------------------ Ken/Eleven Shadows/d i t h er/nectar ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ music*travel photos*tibet*lots of stuff "Sangsara" "Irian Jaya" & d i t h er CDs available! http://www.elevenshadows.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ken Lee Photography - photos and books Eleven Shadows ambient music The Mercury Seven-cool spacey music Linktree to various sites Instagram Nightaxians Video Podcast Eleven Shadows website Ken Lee Photography Pinterest Page
hiraga
I wouldn't compare the too (I got both), since they're totally different animals. I think the C2 is quite underrated, especially since it's a stereo opto comp. I've tried a lot (at 10x the price) of those, and made a few myself, and it's a bitch to get the Vactrols matched. I like their M/S approach. Both are certainly worth having.
wormhole
i have used both and agree they are totally different. Love the FMR RNC 1773and was in Mark McQuilken's audio class when he was designing it 9it's named after the class). The guy is brilliant, i took his class twice just to get more info from him. The Meek is much darker and is very useful but in a totally different way than the RNC
