LiveMusic
Newbie has a new Yamaha PSR740 keyboard workstation. Can anyone recommend a decent microphone for live vocals? Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Or would any used mic do just as well? For one-man show gigs for parties. Also, will likely record some harmony tracks for the gig. > > > [ Live! ] < < <

Throatsinger
I'm interested in this question, too. I have several, including an SM 58, Audix OMX-3b, and Beyer M 500. Problem is, I sometimes sing VERY low, with fundamentals below 40 Hz. Any suggestions for a stage mic that can handle that kinda bass and still have a good top end? The Studio Pet-Rock
Shure sm57's are GREAT! Best investment I've ever made. And, if you snoop a bit, you can get 'em for under $100!

Uh Clem
or if you want to kick it up a notch, the AKG C535EB is a great mic for $199ish, or step up to one of the Neumann hand helds and really get a sound. tc4542home.com
Nuemann KMS 105s are very nice but a bit pricey. Ted.
Uh Clem
Bummner - I noticed by checking the new and now very screwed-up Neumann site (Info Pool, Pinboard? where'd they come up with this stuff?), that they no longer make the more expensive KMS 140 and 150 - glad I got mine when I did. Hopefully the newer 105 is pretty close. Steve Powell - Bull Moon Digital www.bullmoondigital.com
