Throatsinger
was gliding down the river with his trusty guide in a dugout canoe. Monkey sounds...parrots squaking...suddenly the drumming began. Startled, our hero nervously asks his guide for an explanation. Guide says, "Good drums. No problem. Don't worry." They paddle a bit further, and the drums pick it up a notch. "What's that?" exclaims the explorer?" "Good drums. No problem. Don't worry," says the guide, reassuringly. Again the sam thing happens, and again the same answer from the calm guide: " "Good drums. No problem. Don't worry." Finally the drums build to a feverish pitch. The explorer nearly bolts upright, sure he's going into the soup... "Good drums. No problem. Don't worry," repeats the guide. Suddenly the drumming stops! The monkeys are silent, and the birds take flight. Now, the guide jumps, and looks worried. The explorer knowing this is a bad sign, asks, "What is it now? What's happening?" With a pained expression, the guide turns and whispers: "Drums stop. Very bad. Next, bass solo!"
