Philip OKeefe
Well folks, I posted number 7,000, and I even congratulated Craig about it (ie reaching 7,000 posts), but no one even commented or noticed. I was hoping for a decoder ring or crackerjack whistle (I was going to run that through some plug ins, EQ it to death and start a trend...) http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Phil O'Keefe Sound Sanctuary Recording Riverside CA http://members.aol.com/ssanctuary/index.html email: pokeefe777@msn.com

Anderton
Hey, believe me, whenever the posts reach any kind of milestone at all, it makes me smile http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif When I think back to last May when I had 120 posts, and when it took months to reach the first 1,000, and now it takes less than a month to add another thousand...but as I've said before, that's because of you, not me. I'm just the host for theis party, you are the people who make the party worth attending. But really, what makes this forum great is the quality of posts, not the sheer number. I wish I could thank everyone who posts here for being generally cool, and, well, I guess I'm doing that now...! I am thinking of doing one freebie for the forum regulars. For 24 hours, I would make my next CD downloadable at some as-yet-to-be-specified URL. I'd announce it in the forum at midnight one day, and by midnight the next day, it would be gone. Now, I realize that downloading my CD wouldn't be as nice a thank-you as an all expenses paid vacation for y'all, but it's something I can feasibly do!! Whaddya think? Also, I think it would be cool to offer some kind of thank-you for post #10,000. But how would I verify who exactly did the 10,000th post? Is there any way other than being online at that time, seeing the counter increment by one, and checking who posted last? I'm sure there are some smart BBS people out there -- any ideas? Philip OKeefe
Craig: That sounds like a great idea, and it's very generous of you. I normally can't STAND MP3's (because of the way they sound) and don't normally download them, but in your case, I'll make an exception. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif Alpha, I doubt he'd want to mail out dozens of copies (if not hundreds) the postage alone would kill him, yet alone the packaging, etc. They would sound better though.
