Chip McDonald
Go to: www.analogx.com and look for "delay calculator". It's a small PC program that pulls up as a small window that lets you enter a tempo, and instantly shows you ms times for all rhythmic increments. A very neat little program - and it's free. All, there's another cool program he has called "tap tempo" that lets you tap a key and it tells you the tempo; but additionally it tells you how much you're drifting off tempo as you tap, which is entertaining when discussing who has steadier time with a drummer.... http://www.mp3.com/chipmcdonald Guitar Lessons in Augusta Georgia: www.chipmcdonald.com Eccentric blog: https://chipmcdonaldblog.blogspot.com/ / "big ass windbag" - Bruce Swedien

remainanon
Or, you could divide 60,000 by the BPM and get the milliseconds-per-quarter-note. All other rhythmic delays follow logically. Since I have a QuicKey for the calculator DA on my Mac, it's quicker than launching another app... JW
John Sayers
BeatCalc by Fuali (free download) will not only give you the tempo times but will calculate the tempo of a given wave file. i.e. if you have a 4 bar loop it will tell you what the tempo is. cheers john Studio Design Forum Studios Under Construction Home Page
