dabooshprodigy.net
As a songwriter, I have been typing single line ideas in a list for many years, to refer to later. My question is: Is there a software program out there (for mac) that I can type these single phrases into (ex: "jump in line"), as a database, and then search my database for certain words later? Or even better, words that rhyme with the word I type in (ex: type "time" and find the example above)? I hope I have explained this well. Thanks in advance. pigpantsswbell.net
you should have no problem setting up a simple database to handle that in Filemaker or Appleworks. Just create a field called "line" or "phrase", type what you want into it ( you could add fields for "date" --or whatever else you wanted )--then you can search these fields for words or for the entire phrase. hope this helped ( I battle Filemaker on a daily basis as my day job ) Michael
lrbreez
There is a program called "Lyricist". That has those tools in it like a rhyming dicrionary, etc. I'll see if I can find a website and the vendors name for you. Buddy

lrbreez
It took me awhile to find the magazine where I saw the ad. The vendor is Virtual Studio Systems. The program is "Lyricst". The program is $34.95 for the download version. If you want the CD-ROM it is another $9.95. Here is the website: http://www.virtualstudiosystems.com/ They also have a program called "Tracknotes" for studio management (tracksheets, effect notes, equipment depreciation, etc.) Both programs are Windows.
