Anderton
Why not just get an inexpensive line mixer? caiv
Hi. in the place I work we have 10 different sources that needs to be switch from one to another. a line mixer wont do because for one you'll have to do some finger movements to get sources in and out off mutes/solos fast.without counting with the "what am I listening to" syndrome if you have two sources at the same time. and besides you would not need the level matching and bus summing feature that a line mixer has. all of the material is at 0 db. in a way is what you would have in a console to switch sources. We used to have a simple home made relay system that will allow you to take a source out and a new one in with a single bottom pushed, you don't need a summing bus amplifier " way cheaper that a line mixer " we end buying this "Conex Electro-Systems" box because was way more reliable than our home made one (and quieter too). sorry I don't have a url or a model num. but you can find one on one of does audio/video catalog things. hope it helps!! Hope it helps. http://indianapolismusic.net/IMN-2.jpg
