PARIS is killing my G3!!

Hi Craig and everybody-

sorry if this has been covered to death; I'm running PARIS on a beige G3 minitower (300 mHz, 128 mb RAM, using a second drive for audio) and I'm having lots of "disk too slow" messages and freeezes. My mixes are not that extreme- the one mix that is giving me the most trouble is only four tracks at 24 bits (lots of comp edits though). I've tried all the disk cache and I/O configurations to no avail. Do I need to beef up the ol' G3? Is it too slow? I'm in the middle of a new record and gotta get this thing movin'. Any help is greatly appreciated.
