>>Craig..... wanna trade jobs for a week...?<<

Believe me, every day I realize how fortunate I am to be doing what I'm doing. There's a lot of behind-the-scenes stress, and it took a looooong time to get to this position, but I would not want to be doing anything else!!!

As to 747s...I gotta say, I fly a lot of 747s, and next time I go on one it will be pretty neat to think that I'm sitting on top of something designed by someone who does cool posts on Musicplayer.com. And I've never had any bags destroyed while flying on a 747, so I guess you know what you're doing!!!

Hey Morigeau, you in Seattle? My cousin works for Boeing out there.

And, Craig (or others), just wondering, do those in the successful echelons of the biz ever get frustrated with its commercial aspects? For example, I read an interview (probably in GP) with the Wallflowers' guitarist (ah heck, I can't even remember my own name half the time) and he was talking about his more artsy side projects that he involves himself in so he wouldn't have to worry all the time about commercial ventures. Creative stuff that wouldn't sell but a handful of CDs.

Thanks Craig.. We do take pride in what we do....... just us you do. I appreciate the forum here. It is very apparent that no matter where you are on the food chain of music, we're learning from one another.

Yo Tedster....... I'm here

I like that "food chain" thing...hahaha. I'm plankton, man...hey, that sounds like an inverse super-hero...maybe an un-super hero...PLANKTON MA-AAA-AAN!

Know a lady at Boeing in engineering named Joyce? I know, that's like asking someone who works for Ford if they know a guy named Bob. Just thought I'd ask...

And yes, I know I've gotten off topic.

Greetings Craig Anderton & Company!

Yes I'm new to the site,Hope everyone had "A Happy Thanksgiving Day" we have been reading most of these informative & sometimes wild postings,Very interesting stuff.

In any case, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed you and Roger Nichols lectures on home recording projects at "Power Studio's" in Miami.Fl around the 17th of this month.

I got a lot for my little $65.00 , information, networking,& some vital information on the things we're getting ready to try an do in the music industry ( tough stuff with a long way to go),in trying to start up a music publishing biz with some sponsors that might bite ( eyes, ears, nose, toes crossed,ha,ha..),plus we got to join the "National Academy Recording Arts & Science" society at half price for a two-year membership ( Hot-Dog!!!).

BTW, is there any place in here where it can answer or maybe you can answer about the Tascam 788 digital recorder with the optional outboard CD burner for mastering your finish product CD?... Yeah , should you remember me I was the one at the workshop that popped the question about the system we're thinking about buying.

We'd Appreciate any input on the 788 the optional outboard CD burner..(:> )..(:> )...

Take Care & Have A Good One!!!

Best Regards

Randy & Marian Askew

Aha! So my eternal, shameless plugs of MusicPlayer.com have yielded a convert...

I suggest posting a separate topic, like "Anybody have opinions about the TASCAM 788?" that asks for comments from users.
