Tedster
Okay...I just spoke with Phil, and he agrees. You can hate me all you want(especially you, Bunny) but, Suffice it to say that the limitations of what I'm working with necessitates this (the difficulty of getting a drum machine to lock in at 133 and the transfer from comp to comp of files). I will post a rough mix of what I've been doing in mp3 format. On the mp3 will be the reference click panned hard left, and my stuff panned hard right. I realize this might entail some of you re-recording your hard won tracks. To that end, I owe you all a steak dinner or something. But, this is important. So please, bear with me. I promise I'll be a good boy in the future. That is all. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

Dr Nursers
So how do I know whether I need to re-do my tracks - what's the difference with the new click track - is it still at 133? Philip OKeefe
It might be 134... I'm not sure. Please check my "please read thread". We all need to wrk from Ted's common click. So once he has his files uploaded, if everyone can please check their work aganst his trakcs for reference... if they work, GREAT! If not, we may need you to do some re-recording and / or tweaking. All final submission files should reference Ted's click, and should be uploaded as 16 bit / 44.1 Khz files... WITH a copy of Tedstere's click to help facilitate lining everything up over here. If anyone recorded at 48 kHz, that's not a major hassle - I can SRC if needed.

Philip OKeefe
For the sake of keeping this as easy and non-confusing as possible, I'm moving my comments fr4om "my" everyone please read thread over here. Nursers, please feel free todelete that other thread mate. I just got off the phone with the Tedster... here's the deal: He's using a Roland drum machine and Cool Edit Pro for his click track and tracking, so he really doesn't have the ability to do a click in his software. We think he did everything at 134, which may cause us some significant problems. Unfortunately Bunny's click track and ac gtr roughs had some problems with them... so, as I mentioned originally, we all need to reference a common click track. Ideally Ted should be posting some stuff RSN, and I'd like to ask everyone to please check what you're already done aganst that... and as much as this is a hassle, if need be, can you please re-record to make it work with what Tedster has done (and will soon post)? I've asked tedster to post a rough with the click hard panned to one side, and a scratch submix of his guitar and vocal panned hard to the other side - the idea being that you all can then use your balance controls (or extract them as two seperate mono files) to balance the amount of click vs tracks for your own tastes and needs. Remember, we ALL need to reference to "zero" on the DAW timelines! This is so that everything will line up properly. Tedster is aware of this and will be setting his uploaded files to comply. He's also giving us a two bar count in (8 clicks). For the intro, I'd recommend that you use Ted's click Chris, and just dump the vocals and guitars out if you need to. I'm not trying to be bossy here, or to say "I told you so", but I was afraid we might be rushing things too much and asking for problems because we didn't lock in the parameters first. [Frown] Again, I realize this is a hassle for folks, but we do all need to be working off the 'same page" here. Please watch for Tedster's post. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, I'm here... just remember the 360 * on my website is now 951 area code, NOT 909. The cell phone number (the 489#) is still 909. I can be reached on either one, but please try the 360 number first. I also have Ted's number now, and I can reach him if need be. Thanks for everyone's hard work - you folks rawk! Or drop me an email? I very rarely ever check my PM's. But I appreciate you letting me know my PM box is full - I'll try to get over and clean it out later today. But in the meantime, try my email - I'll get it quicker that way. Or feel free to call. Thanks buddy!

Tedster
Okay... Sigh...I've got it. The vocals are ROUGH. They SUCK. My voice is SHOT. I will do better passes when I'm in good voice...and when I get some more backing tracks to pump me along. So, if they suck, I don't give a shit. You don't care about the vocals anyway, you care about the click and song structure. THAT part is there. Here...it's in mp3, because with a sucky rough, audio quality isn't an issue. http://tedster.net/fearmixrough2.mp3 I'm taking a frickin' break for a bit... I love y'all... Bunny Knutson
Actually, the new tempo is 133.78, and I'm being serious. But if you've alreay recorded to 134 tempo, we can probably edit your tracks into shape. https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/

It'll be ok - I more matched the click track rather than the tempo for the organ track I've done. But that would explain why things weren't quite matching up like they should be. I don't even wanna know why it's 133.78. Billster
I sent some tracks to Phil at 134. I saw the drift in bar lines in DP, but the main thing is that I line up with the actual sound of the click track. I figure all repairs can be made if at least I stay with the click. Phait
I think we should release 2 or 3 MP3's, then maybe another batch, then the CD compilation. We really need to find a secure pay system that won't cheat us.
