I personally like Internotes because it is more relevant to those outside the US - hadn't heard the term Fantasy League a lot until this collab.

Anyway, good luck voting :thu:

Yeah right :P

I actually like Yard Apes on Ice as an album title, bit IMO doesn't work as an ongoing title as hopefully there will be 2nd volume and so on :thu:

Ya'll,

I just happened to think of something... has anyone bothered to check to see if there is a Trademark on the use of "Fantasy League" as far as public use and distribution goes. It's one thing to use it on the forum here and for our pet projects, but to use the name as a title to the first release of a packaged CD, we might be stepping on some toes if someone happens to own a mark on it.

I think about that AFTER I make a cover using it. :freak:

I really like the album cover Ani - just realised though do we need to put 'CD' in the title?

Checked Trademark for Fantasy Leaqgue - doesn't appear to be any using that specific title.

These all have a slight variation in colortone. The larger version shows an intense glitterlike greenish blue, whereas, when I reduce the size to fit a CD jewel box; I'm losing the brilliance. Just putting them up for comparison to see what you guys think.

Any jump out at you???

Do you like the sillouhette, or the sky backgroud? Do you like any of it at all?

EDIT after reviewing those up so far:

I think that I'm liking this one the best!!! Bedtime now!!! :D I'll check in after work tomorrow sometime to see how everyone rates what's up so far. Goodnight

PS. Of Course, the name can be changed to Fantasy League CD if that's what gets determined as the name. I voted for Fantasy League, but now that I'm seeing how these look in graphics, I thing that the music note dotting the "I" looks kind of unique and cool. I can't do that with Fantasy League and accomplish the same results. Also... on any of these, I should be able to change the colors fairly easy.

Ani,

I like the images on the last two that you posted... :thu:

But I liked the first one also... ;)

Teammembers,

I think we should talk about this whole Title/Subtitle thing...

After seeing Ani's mock-ups, it seems that

any title like that could be read by a

1st-time viewer as the "band's name"...

Like, "The Fantasy League" or "The Internotes"...

I don't think that's a good thing...

Shouldn't something verbally indicate that

it's the work of several different bands...?

And possibly that those bands happen to be "virtual"...

For the members here,

the term "Fantasy League" was understood

to represent our whole, big evolving project...

But to anyone, anywhere else that term effectively

misrepresents the contents of the CD...

So how do we describe in a short phrase,

our unique and pioneering

multi-national/inter-active/immediate-longterm /virtual-reality

working relationships...? :P

Babblingly yours,

Bob

I kind of lean toward the mystical look myself, but whatever folks decide on. Perhaps we can number the graphics and vote on them also. Here's one with more of a gold cast to it.

Hi Bob,

I disagree on this one. The song listing will make it clear that it is a compilation. I own a number of comp CD's with one title on the cover, and then the song listing on the back.

Of course, there's nothing to say there couldn't be a phrase like 'An international collaboration' etc.

I'd just hate to get bogged down in worrying about it too much.

;)

Ani,

That type of tag line works for me...

Nursers,

You're right, of course...

The last thing I want to do is impede

the progress at this stage of the project...

Peace and Balance,

Bob

One thing that I think we all need to keep in mind is placing our copyright notices on the disk lable, and also on the jewel insert. Also, I think that we should place at least one contact on the packaging in the event these do get distributed and receive airplay somewhere.

Bob,

I need to call Debo because I haven't received anything in the mail yet.

Goodnight :) I like the last one's wording the best (though still unsure if we need to have CD in the title - in 12 mths we might be putting out a DVD-A :)

Good graphic Ani, I definately prefer the colours in the first one.

I like the font too. If we use Intrnotes, how about making the whole "I" a musical note instead of just dotting it with one.

I agree we should use a tag line, "A Collaboration Of Artists Around The Globe" is fine but who about adding the word "Virtual" like Bob suggested:

"A Virtual Collaboration Of Artists Around The Globe" or is that too long?

"A Virtual Collaboration Of Artists Worldwide" ???

I agree we have no need to put "CD" in the title or anywhere on the front cover.

Good stuff Ani, thanks!
