Ha! Like I'd tell you!

The only person on your team so far is you. So, you need to make sure you have people who can do things that you can't or don't want to do.

Need a lead vocalist? Find someone that you think will fit your project and grab them first if you think someone else might. Need to absolutley get a live drummer? Do that as your #1. Need a nice calm personality to help keep your team cool? Or a person with experience producing disparate personalities? Do some research and find that person- but draft them first only if you think another manager might take them. Need an all-around brilliant person who can do almost everything?

Draft Dave Bryce. :thu::thu:

Well I'm in the position that means there is every chance my 1st few choices will be gone before I get to pick, so I have opened up a little and allowed for more possibilities.

I'm not really thinking 'well this guy would go great with my Death Metal idea' I'll decide what direction I am going in after the draft when I can sit and weigh up the options my players capabilities present me.

Did you really think you were gonna get a straight answer Cereal?! ;)

John, my ancestors are from Scotland. There's an old castle there somewhere called Crawford castle. It's pretty beat up by now. That's where we're from.

If I were a manager I would pick me first so I wouldn't be last. That would be embarassing. ;)

Seriously, I would try to stick to creative role players, and have the drummers, drum programmers and keyboard players as my must haves. There are 3 or 4 of each that I would try to take one of each early, as they won't be there in later rounds. Someone who plays horn or some unusual instrument would be next if there was anyone like that still on the board(Round 3, not likely).

I would also try to get a mastering person. People who's music I've heard and liked, would get higher seeds than people who rated themselves but didn't have music posted.

I'd pick the guitarists last. Lot's of them(good ones too!), and I'll bet the last few people picked will all be guitfiddlers.

I probably wouldn't draft a bass player.

I really don't know what to put here.

I'm not really a KB based guy unless I felt that person had other skills such as songwriting and/or drum programming. Then they are a big deal.

For my 1st pick I'm leaning towards........................................

Impossible. :D

In fantasy sports leagues I'm in, the common draft method is to simply take the best player available. In later rounds, you may need to adjust that to fill needed positions.

A catcher might be like a drummer is for us- pretty rare, especially a great one. I didn't want to waste a top pick on a catcher, so I drafted Pierzynski (Twins) after all of my positions were filled but before I was drafting bench players (13th round of 21). It turned out he's been injured more than last year and his avg isn't great, but he plays a lot of games for a catcher and he hits from both sides, and... oh am I still talking? :o

Cereal- we're breaking new ground here! There are no rules yet. I have no idea what I'm doing. :):D

flyscots- in my baseball league, I had the last pick like you do. There were still some decent guys available, and the serpentine does make things more fair. For us, the manager with the #1 pick doesn't pick again until #12. For baseball, I was able to get Sosa and Tejada in my first two rounds, and Hudson and Oswalt in the next two. Sosa has been on the DL and Tejada is in a major hitting slump, but it was still good since Sosa will get major RBI's soon thanks to great Cubs on-base percentages and...

Oops- I did it again :o:D:D

Analyze this!

Cool, I know where that is! I'm making my country seem tiny now. Well I suppose it is compared to the USA.

http://www.softcom.net/users/bbeacham/images/photo_files_scotland/castles/crawford_lindsay_castle4.jpg The Castle & the Lindsay family are from the 1400s.

The power of Google helped me with the above knowledge, the rest is all from memory.

Crawford now sits alongside the M74 Motorway - the main route between Central Scotland (ie Glasgow) and everything to the South (ie England.)

Due to its rural location it is a common stop off point for truck drivers and has a popular Service Station (not sure if they're called that here, you know the place where everyone stops for food & gas etc) aswell as quite a few Hotels, especially considering its small size. The scenery around Crawford is beautiful. As far as I remember it is at a pretty high altitude and is surrounded by even higher mountains.

You're still not getting any info on my pick choices! ;)

Excuse me?!

'Cause anyone can play bass, right?

Grrrrrr.... :mad::mad::mad::cry:

Yes, that's exactly it! Bass players are lame musicians who are only an afterthought in the grand scheme of things. They are worthless. Less than worthless. Bass players are maggots!

That's why I switched to playing guitar after playing bass for 20 years. ;)

Besides, I know what my bass playing sounds like, and I don't know what any other bass players here sound like, and none have put up samples(except me)of thier bass playing to my knowledge. :P

I really don't know what to put here.

Now, that's really unfair. Somebody has to help carry the drums.

LOL Chris! Good thing I wasn't drinking coffee.

But, I thought it was the singers who helped carry the drums. Oh, wait, no that's wrong. The singers don't help with anything. Funny how they are the first ones with thier hands out at the end of the night, huh?

Yeah, nice place but it needs work. At least they keep thier lawn up... :D

Hey, are you a highland scott or a lowland scott? And what difference does it make?

(this is in reference to somthing in the film "A River Runs Through It", that I never understood...)

Super 8

Technically lowland. I'm originally from Scotland's biggest city, Glasgow, which is to the West of Scotland's "Central Belt"

The Highlands are to the north of Scotland, so some people would say lowland for the South, although most of the land is at high altitude in the south aswell. Like anywhere, the areas in Scotland that you can build on (The Central Belt) are expanding rapidly.

Highlanders are kinda like country folk in the States. They may not be so up to date but they know a heck of a lot about what they need to know and their surroundings. They are usually nicer, more genuine & harder working than city people.

That's because singers don't have anything to pack up, so they want to get paid & split with the chick they've been working on.

Gotta agree with you there Flyscots - have been to Scotland twice, and the north was the highlight - went as far as Orkney Islands, and was damn impressed with the people etc

Cool! Have you ever heard anyone from the Shetland Isles talking? That has gotta be one of the world's most phukked up accents! Its more Norwegian than Scottish!
