emilemenasche Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 Hi folks: Welcome to the Track Exchange. Rocket Networks is a revolutionary tool that lets you share music projects over the Internet -- as long as you and your collaborators are using compatible software. To get started, you might have to learn an unfamiliar program like Cubase or Logic -- both of which are available in free downloadable Rocket versions. I'd like to know how people are configuring and maximizing Logic -- for collaboration and for general personal use. So let your questions, comments, and tips fly...
stratman_dup1 Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Will MicroLogic AV work with the Rocket network? I've tried to get on Rocket in the past using their downloadable software but was never able to get it to work. I've since bought a sound card that came with MicroLogic, do you know if that would work??
DaveWalker Posted August 4, 2001 Posted August 4, 2001 MicroLogic does not work with Rocket power. However, LogicRocket does, and it is free! To Download and Register go to this link: Download and Register with the MusicPlayer Track Exchange Logic Rocket is almost the same as Micrologic. At the same link above there is also a free version of Cubasis (Cubasis Inwire, PC only). Logic Rocket is available for both Mac and PC. -Dave http://www.mp3.com/dbwalker QA manager, Rocket Network This message has been edited by DaveWalker on 08-03-2001 at 08:45 PM Dave Walker QA/Tech Support Manager Rocket Network http://www.mp3.com/dbwalker Rocket Network user name: Dave
stratman_dup1 Posted August 4, 2001 Posted August 4, 2001 Hey Dave, Glad to see a rep from Rocket here, and I mean no offense but you must have missed the part of my previous post that said " I have tried the downloadable software from the rocket network and I couldn't get it to run". Seriously, I tried and tried to get it to work, and had the help of a rocket rep but to no avail. I spent hours trying to get that to work but was never able to even log on to the network once. No offense but I have no wish to waste even more time trying to get this to work with that software, it just doesn't work with my setup. And I really don't think it's my computer or anything else on my system, everything else runs just fine. Go figure. Though I am looking into (as we speak) getting Logic gold or platinum. I would REALLY like to implement software synths and samplers into my setup. I currently use Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, I know that Sonar offers DXI synths and the like, plus audio looping which looks pretty cool, but the simple fact is the VST oferrings are much more abundant and mature. But I do really like the Acid like audio looping in Sonar so I haven't quite made up my mind as of yet. We'll see.

Well, If Micrologic works on your machine, then Logic Rocket should ... we have released several revisions of our software, so has Emagic... seems to work in most cases. When you get the gumption up to try again, perhaps I can help. ------------------ Dave Walker QA/Tech Support Manager Rocket Network http://www.mp3.com/dbwalker Rocket Network user name: Dave This message has been edited by DaveWalker on 08-04-2001 at 12:28 PM Dave Walker QA/Tech Support Manager Rocket Network http://www.mp3.com/dbwalker Rocket Network user name: Dave
BoldRuler Posted August 5, 2001 Posted August 5, 2001 Hi All! I'm running a mac with nestcape 4.7, I downloaded logicrocket and rocketcontrol. I was having difficulty logging into sessions after selecting a studio center, got a gray screen forever... I re-registered three times and still had trouble. I got a quick response from rocket support, after I'd gone to http://www.rocketnetwork.com/support/html/troubleshooting.html where I found the answer! reconfiguring the netscape application preferenc from rocket plugin to the rocket application. Now I seem to have more stable results. It's a lot of fun working with folks around the world making sound!!! Happy Tracking! Dave no matter where you go, there you are... http://johnnypistolaband.com
stratman_dup1 Posted August 5, 2001 Posted August 5, 2001 O.K. Dave, guess it's time to try downloading the newest version and give it a go, maybe it'll work this time. I hope so, the Rocket Network looks like a majorly cool thing.
BoldRuler Posted August 5, 2001 Posted August 5, 2001 Stratman... be careful, it's very addicting!!! Dave no matter where you go, there you are... http://johnnypistolaband.com
