Beatheavy
I have an opportunity to get one pretty cheap. I'd like it to serve a dual purpose. 1: As a mixer for our Digi 001 rig 2: As a mixer for our bands rehearsal. Can I successfuly do this with this desk? Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. Thanx! ATOMIX! http://www.abc.net.au/common/logos/whtblkgrn.gif
Matt.Hepworth
That would be some pretty serious overkill for those situations - and it's bulky enough to where lugging it for gigs is not really an option. It is meant for installations and is actually a cool console. It even is midi automatable as far as mutes and such. How much is this good deal and does the unit work? No matter how good something is, there will always be someone blasting away on a forum somewhere about how much they hate it.
Beatheavy
Thanx for your reply Matt. The desk belongs to a good friend of ours who is very well off financially and would like to help us out. The desk is in top working condition and he's basicaly giving it to us for $500 bux! We won't be using it for gigs, just for rehearsal and recording and mixing. I would like to know if any of you guys have had any hands on experience with this desk and could provide me with some info. Thanx ATOMIX! http://www.abc.net.au/common/logos/whtblkgrn.gif

fantasticsound
For $500, buy it! A friend of mine owned one for several years. He felt it was severely lacking, for the price he'd paid. For $500 I don't believe you can come close to purchasing a desk with that flexibility and features. Sound quality was good with the desk, just not in the league of other desks in it's original price point. Buy it and enjoy, IMO. :) It's easiest to find me on Facebook. fantasticsound
Buy it! A friend of mine bought one, new, and was dissatisfied only because he didn't feel it lived up to the price he paid. For that flexibility and sound quality, $500 is a steal, IMO. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd

fantasticsound
BTW, sorry about the two posts. The system was taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r and I backed up and refreshed the topic page. It didn't register the first post, so I re-wrote it. Seems there was just a bit of delay... It's easiest to find me on Facebook.
