TMWdrmr8
Just wondering if anyone else has used the new Remo Emperor X snare drumheads. I just bought one a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. It's similar to other Emperor heads...2 ply, but this one has a 5 mil. black dot coated under the surface to make it thicker and deeper sounding. Supposedly lasts long too. I cranked mine real tight for a good crisp sound without getting ringy, it's great. Although it's noticably louder than other Remo heads, it's a good product to check out. dejacky
EXACTLY the same experince with me . big thumps up. Also, what's an ideal resonant head to use with the EmperorX dot top with a wood birch snare shell? I have the Pacific FS (birch unlaquered) shell pack. djarrett
I just put one on my snare last night while at a rehearsal at S.I.R. here in Nashville. I have been using the Powerstroke 3 coated. This head rocks! DJ

ss
Thanks dj! I've been looking for another snare head. Do you think the x will sound good on a maple snare?
